Now does this make sense.. I have about 10 cards totally 6,000. I want to consolidate onto one card, one bill..but even my own bank has told me..the overall amount is too low to offer a consolidation..Now how can that be possible.. I don’t owe 50,000 dollars so I can’t get assistance…Is this totally wrong or what?

Consolidating doesn’t do you any good.
It just shifts debt from one lender to another.
My advice:
1) Start saving money. A detailed written budget will help here, the more detailed the better. It’ll help plug the leaks in your wallet.
2) Pay only the minimums on all 10, until you have $1,000 saved. Put ten $100 bills in a picture frame with a sign “In case of emergency, break glass”. You will use this cash instead of your credit cards.
3) List the 10 cards from smallest to largest (amount owed).
4) Continue paying the minimums on 9 of them, and attack # 10 (the smallest) with a vengence.
4b) When #10 is finished, attack #9. Etc.
